Description
NOTE: Due to weather, this event has been POSTPONED until MONDAY JULY 15. Same time!
The Downtown Yonge BIA kicks off a summer of fun in the laneways on Monday July 15. Experience the heart of our city and reconnect with the hidden corners of the downtown core - through music.
The laneway lights up with food, beverages, and fun in celebration of the width and breadth of our Music City's landscape, and the musical legacy of the downtown core, with three amazing performers.
We'll be revealing the names of the artists slowly, over the next few weeks, so we don't overwhelm you all at once. But make sure you register early to attend. The more news that breaks, the quicker the laneway's limited space will fill up.
Have a glimpse of last year's event which featured food, drink, games, and performances from funk band Turbo Street Funk, percussion ensemble Baque de Bamba, and trap-tap-and-then-some crew game.set.trap.
This event is open to the public, but capacity is limited. Guarantee a spot by registering in advance, and make, if you please, a contribution to the Regent Park School of Music, which will be receiving proceeds from the event.
In addition to securing a spot, advanced registration means you’re entered into a draw to win a prize package valued at over $400. (Winners must attend to receive their prize.)
Doors open at 5:00 PM, when you can enjoy activities, games, food, and drink. The live music starts at 6:00 PM.
There will be limited seating; byo festival chairs is certainly encouraged. The laneway is accessible with no stairs, but the restroom facilities nearest are not fully accessible.

We're suggesting a $10 contribution, but you are free to contribute as you see fit, in advance, here, and/or at the door. In the interest of removing any barriers to entry, we leave it to you to select the level at which you feel most comfortable contributing. Any questions, hit us up at info@good-kind.com
Shouts out to our Media Partners Exclaim! and CIUT 89.5 FM, who are helping make this event possible, and Errol Nazareth's CBC Radio show Big City, Small World . When you taste what Collective Arts Brewery is helping us bring to the alley, you’ll be thankful too!.
The Downtown Yonge Business Improvement Area (DYBIA) is a catalyst for creating vibrant urban experiences and events in the heart of downtown Toronto. Representing more than 2,000 businesses and their employees, as well as the broader community of residents, students and visitors, the DYBIA champions attractive public spaces, popular events, safety and cleanliness. It plays an active role both at street level and in boardrooms, advocating for a thriving and diverse community of retailers, restaurants and services.
