amarElas band - Aug. 27

The musical project amarElas is here again after a delightful debut that opened the summer this year. The Brazilian female artists are back on stage, motivated by themes related to immigration, the feminine universe, identity, joy, love and colors. The team of artists is: Andrea Lobato (Guitar, Vocalist), Beta Cunha (Guitar, Vocalist), Juju Morais (Vocalist, Percussion), Mara Li (Vocalist) and the special guest Amanda Acauan (Percussion, Vocalist). 

Their work is currently composed of original and cover songs, and the genres are a mix of MPB (Brazilian popular music), Bossa Nova, Samba and others not labable rhythms.

This event is gladly supported by VLACC (Vancouver Latin American Cultural Center) on the unceded and ancestral territories of the Musqueam, Squamish and Tsleil-Waututh Nations.

For the safety of our guests and performers we make sure that the following are done before each show.

• Assigned seating has been arranged based on Vancouver Coastal Health guidelines.
• Daily sanitation/disinfection before shows of all hard surfaces.
• An alternate entrance and box office for our theatre guests. 

For the safety of our guests and performers we would ask that you:

• Do not attend the performance if you are feeling ill, or symptomatic of Covid 19. 
• Please be sure to keep distance from our other guests and performers.  
• We would ask that you follow these guidelines, and be respectful of our staff.
