Description
Psychopomp Theatre is proud to present Peter Shaffer's Amadeus, one of the most acclaimed stage plays of all time.
In the court of Austrian Emperor Joseph II, Antonio Salieri is the established composer. Enter the greatest musical mastermind of all time: Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Salieri has given himself to God so that he might realize his sole ambition, to be a great composer. Mozart is a foul-mouthed, graceless oaf who has that which is beyond Salieri's envious grasp: Genius.
"Peter Shaffer's greatest play." - The Stage
"A total iridescent triumph... of complexity and thought, emotion and dramatic power." - New York Post
This play, directed by Jon Shields, and starring Randy Brososky, Drake Seipert, and Cassie Hyman, is produced by arrangement with Concord Theatricals on behalf of Samuel French, Inc.
