AeroPress Championship

2 FOR 1! That’s right, two competitions in one DAY!

Come and cheer on our regional competitors in the AeroPress Calgary Regionals and watch the winner compete in the Nationals on the same day, at the same location!!

Expect the event to be the most fun and easy going competition you’ve ever been to!

Competition Format

• The competition is a multi-round, elimination tournament.
• In each round, three competitors brew coffee simultaneously.
• Competitors have 5 minutes in which to prepare, brew, and present their coffee.
• When the time is up, the coffees are presented in identical vessels to a panel of three judges.
• The judges blindly evaluate each coffee and make their own private assessment as to which is the best.
• On the count of three, all judges simultaneously point to their preferred coffee.
• The winner progresses to the next round.

Event Timeline

• 1:00PM - 1:30PM : Visit
  *Great time to visit the Eight Ounce Showroom & Paradigm Spark cafe!
• 1:30PM : Doors Open
• 2:00PM - 5:00PM : Calgary Regionals
• 5:00PM - 6:15PM : Break
  *Great time to stop by Eighty-Eight Brewing Co, next door, for some food and drinks!
• 6:15PM - 7:15PM: Nationals
