Bio's of Writer and Designer
Bridget Ryan
Bridget has been writing, performing and producing in theatre all over North America for the
past 20 years. A graduate of the acclaimed University of Cinncinnati’s CCM BFA Musical
Program, national tours took her across the United States and Canada until her passion for
creating and producing theatre was ignited while working alongside Broadway Producer
Richard Frankel for several years at RFPNY Productions in New York City on such shows at
STOMP, The Weir, The Sound of Music and The Producers, to name a few. She returned to
Canada in 2004 where she was Host of Breakfast Television on CityTV for 13 years, garnering
several awards including ‘Woman of The Year’. Her passion for the stage never wained and in
that time, she created/performed several shows that took her all over western Canada. She
began a creative partnership with Jason Carter creating Rabbit In The Yard Productions Corp,
where the duo have built Carter-Ryan Gallery (opening in Canmore in 2011 and most recently in
Banff Alberta), a gallery dedicated to showcasing the incredible work in stone and on canvas of
Jason Carter as well as featuring 5 of their published children’s books (Who Is Boo Series,
Urban Animals and The Adventures of the Curious Bear In The Red Canoe). Bridget has
worked as a professional puppeteer and worked with PBS/Jim Henson Company and Ronnie
Burkett, and is a published playwright through Playwrights Canada.
