Description
Following a sold-out run at Chichester Festival Theatre, John le Carré’s The Spy Who Came In From The Cold arrives at @sohoplace for a strictly limited season.
Set in Berlin at the height of the Cold War, British agent Alec Leamas is pulled back from the field for one final mission: to infiltrate East Germany’s intelligence network. As he descends into a world of deception, shifting allegiances, and moral ambiguity, he faces choices that test not just his loyalty, but the very core of his humanity.
Amid the danger, Leamas meets Liz Gold, an idealistic librarian who sees past his hardened façade. Their fragile bond becomes a beacon of hope in a shadowy world where truth is a weapon and betrayal is inevitable.
Intense, atmospheric, and morally complex, this production brings le Carré’s masterwork to the stage with all the suspense and power that made it a classic of modern literature.
