A NIGHT OF ENCHANTMENT
Step into a world of love, laughter, and shimmering magic as Loyalist City Shakespeare returns for its fourth successful season at the breathtaking Place Fort La Tour. Set against Saint John’s historic harbourfront, this open-air production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream transforms the waterfront into an enchanted realm where anything feels possible.
Follow mischievous fairies, star-crossed lovers, and a hilariously hapless troupe of actors as their stories intertwine in the moonlit woods. With the harbour as our backdrop and the stars overhead, audiences are swept into a night of romance, comedy, and delightful chaos - an experience that has become a beloved summer tradition.

HOW TO GET THERE? AND WHERE CAN I PARK?
The show will take place at Place Fort La Tour on Harbour Passage. Event parking is available at the Long Wharf Terminal, off Long Wharf Road at the end of Station Street by Harbour Passage. Parking is also available in the Fort La Tour Drive Parking lot (located off Chesley Drive). A short walk to the fort is still required if parking in either of these lots.
HOW DO I PURCHASE TICKETS IN ADVANCE?
We encourage patrons to purchase their ticket in advance. To purchase online visit www.saintjohntheatrecompany.com or call our box office at 506-652-7582.
CAN I PURCHASE AT THE EVENT?
Depending on availability, tickets will be sold on site at Place Fort La Tour on performance evenings a half hour before the performance begins. The gates will also be opened at this time. 7:30 PM performance start; 7:00 PM gates open and at the door, tickets go on sale.
WHAT IF IT RAINS?
In the event of rain, a decision will be made at 3 PM on the performance day to either proceed or cancel the event. Patrons will receive an email, and updates will also be posted on our Facebook and Instagram pages at this time. In the event of a cancellation due to weather, a member of our box office will reach out to reschedule or offer a full refund.
WHAT SHOULD I BRING?
We provide the entertainment and seating but its up to you to stay cozy. It gets cold on the harbour in the evenings so be sure to dress appropriately. A jacket, good footwear for walking and even a blanket may come in handy.
ARE THERE WASHROOMS ON SITE?
Yes. On Harbour Passage approaching the Fort there are public washrooms available.
IS THE SITE ACCESSIBLE?
If you require stair-free access please arrive early and let an usher know. Please note, however there will be no stair-free access to washrooms during the performance run.
WHEN SHOULD I ARRIVE?
Seating is not assigned in advance, so if you want to be up close or tucked in back come early to select your perfect spot. The gates will open a half hour before the performance begins. 7:30 PM performance start; 7:00 PM gates open.
REFRESHMENTS?
A small assortment of snacks and beverages will be available to purchase on site. Cash, credit or debit accepted.
