97th Running of the Canadian Derby

Century Mile Racetrack and Casino is proud to present the 97th Running of the Canadian Derby on Saturday, August 22!

Join us as we continue the tradition and celebrate some of the best horse racing in Western Canada with an afternoon of excitement, entertainment, fashion and more! First race will be 2:45pm. Gates open at 1:00pm!

Featured Races: 

• $75,000 Northlands Park Distaff 
• $100,000 Dale "The Colonel" Saunders Speed To Spare Championship 
• $100,000 Century Casino Oaks 
• $200,000 Canadian Derby 

General Information:

• All attendees are required to have a ticket upon entrance (under 5 are free)
• Guests 18+ are invited to redeem their wristbands at the cashiers cage inside the casino for a bonus $5 slot play voucher
• Outdoor apron and Finish Line Restaurant are open to all ages 
• No minors permitted inside the casino 
• Casino is open from 9:30am to 4:00am
• Shuttle services will be available from AMTA lot, located by Redtail Landing
• Limited seating available in General Admission
• No outside food and beverage permitted  
• No outside chairs permitted
• Number of Races/length of the day will be determined the Tuesday prior to the Canadian Derby
• Alcohol Service time on the apron will end at the beginning of the last race
• Live music from The Oddibles in the casino lounge after live racing!
