5X Art Party

Our most iconic event! The ultimate place to meet emerging artists, and experience music, art, and connection. This year’s Art Party is curated by Ritesh Matlani. This event is sold out every year– you don’t want to miss out!

Ritesh is a Surrey-based Queer floral designer & filmmaker. Born and raised in the Middle East, of Indian heritage, he’s drawn to stories of how different cultures thrive in a foreign land upon enculturation. Queer mythology, gay identity, suppressed agony, South Asian diaspora and immigration are themes in his work. As a floral designer his work is considered airy and whimsical, inspired by wild meadows and forests. He has become known to create floral installations for local businesses and events.

He is active in the local independent film scene as a producer, actor, cinephile and a film festival community manager with a focus on queer & BIPOC representation. Ritesh works in film/tv production for his day job.. This event is sold out every year– you don’t want to miss out!

VIBC is back with our 7th annual flagship event 5X Fest! Join us from June 13th - 16th, 2024 as we set the stage for some of today’s most exciting names in South Asian music & art. Hosted by Joty Kay and Kirpan Dhillon, our festival lineup will include signature events like the 5X Blockparty and the 5X Art Party, with some unique new additions you can’t help but tell your friends about. This year is extra special, as we celebrate 20 years of VIBC! Come together and help us mark this momentous occasion. Join us as we mark all that’s happened and all that’s left to come!

To transfer a ticket to another person, login to your Eventbrite account, go to tickets, select your order, click edit, and change the ticket information accordingly.
