50 Years of Whistler Fashion Show Fun'Raiser

• Price: General Admission $50 - All proceeds will be donated to the Whistler Elders Enrichment Society and tax receipts will be issued for the maximum allowable amount.

Save the date for a festive après social and fashion show celebrating 50 years of Whistler fashion (1975–2025). 

Featuring Whistler legends, characters, and athletes modelling a vintage collection of many outfits, from 1975 styles to today’s trends, showcasing winter and summer activity wear as well as evening glam. The show supports the Whistler Elders Enrichment Society, and some vintage pieces from the collection will be available for purchase after the show.

The event is being held to honour Isobel MacLaurin, Whistler’s first professional artist and a lady of fashion in her own right, who was a very gregarious and generous member of Rotary and the Arts. Isobel had wanted to host the event before her passing in 2024, and her friend, Ericka Durlacher, promised her it would happen. Some of Isobel’s fashion gems will be featured in the show.

Doors open at 3:00pm for a lively après social with music, appetizers, cash bar and a silent auction, and the fashion show runs 4:00pm to 5:30pm.

Tickets can be purchased online and in person at the Maury Young Arts Centre box office, subject to availability.

Proceeds raised will support the Whistler Elders Enrichment Society, which is raising funds to operate a Whistler Seniors facility where all individuals can be accommodated for fitness, social activities and resources that will allow them to remain in their community and age in place.
