50 Threads: An Artist’s Journey

Melissa Manchester is a legendary Grammy-winning singer-songwriter, actor and Broadway performer. Ms. Manchester makes her GENVAS debut by celebrating her remarkable 50-year career in show business with a dazzling, all-new show titled “50 Threads: An Artist’s Journey. This musical memoir will showcase her latest album, Re:View, which was released in 2024, and features updated and reimagined versions of standout songs from throughout her career. The album included duets with Kenny Loggins and Dolly Parton, respectively, on “Whenever I Call You Friend” and “Midnight Blue" which she will also perform. 

A 2023 inductee into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in New York City and our 2025 GENVAS Icon of the Arts, Ms. Manchester represents the very essence of artistry with purpose. From her early days performing alongside Bette Midler in New York's famed bathhouses to her chart-topping hits and acclaimed roles on stage and screen, she has continually used her platform to uplift, empathize, and inspire. She joins us after recently completing a North American Broadway Tour playing Mrs. Brice in Funny Girl

This intimate performance allows Ms. Manchester to connect directly with the audience—sharing stories, reflecting on her journey as a cross-genre icon, and exploring how music and performance deepen empathy and emotional wellness. Her words and songs highlight how creative expression sustains us, especially within marginalized communities.
