50 to honour the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall riots.

Shade because we're shady. 😏

Colour because this event puts QTBIPOC people up front, that’s what a ball is all about y’all.

• OTA Virgin Vogue – Primary Colours

Back to basics! Show off your understanding of the 5 foundational elements of performance dawning your reds, blues, and yellows in demonstration of the primary colour wheel.  (DANCE CATEGORY)

 

This category is open to anyone who has not competed in a Vogue Performance category at any other ball before. Competitors must be able to showcase all 5 elements confidently to make their 10s.

 

• OTA Face – Pastels

Present a perfect portrait of your facial features in a soft palette of pastels. We want to see all of your face, so, set it and serve for the masses! (NO DANCE EXPERIENCE REQUIRED)

 

This category is OTA - there are no mandatory dance elements but it is encouraged for competitors to have an elementary understanding of face category techniques.

 

• OTA Sex Siren  – Iridescence

Highlight your body and the essence that makes you absolutely irresistible. Shimmer and shine down the runway in what declares you THE Sex Siren. (NO DANCE EXPERIENCE REQUIRED)

 

This category is OTA - there are no mandatory dance elements but competitors must be able to serve the judges body confidence and sensual sex appeal.

 

• OTA Runway – Pride

What's your story? Strut the runway in your true colours, giving us a fully realized look of what pride means to you. (NO DANCE EXPERIENCE REQUIRED)

 

This category is OTA - there are no mandatory dance elements but competitors should have an understanding of the difference between American (butch) and European (femme) runway styles. Both styles will be competing together with no restrictions around which genders are able to participate in either category.

 

• OTA Performance – Monochromatic

No tea, no shade. Select your hue and become one with your tone of choice for a colourful performance, no other palette can compete. (DANCE CATEGORY, EXPERIENCE REQUIRED)

 

This category is open to anyone who is familiar with all vogue elements: catwalk, duck-walk, hands performance, floor performance, spins/dips. Performer should be on beat with movements, including dips.

Thanks to our generous funders, tickets are FREE, capped at 250 advance spots. More spots will be open at the door on a first come, first served basis. You may register for one ticket per person.

Washrooms are gender neutral, staff are always on your side and the venue is wheelchair accessible. Please let staff or organizers know if you experience any issues with these policies.
