Description

Five talented artists and bands join us in the Shunda Theatre at the Lacombe Performing Arts Centre throughout 2024-2025!

October 4: Beau Wheeler

Adrian Mack of ‘The Georgia Straight’ nailed it when he described Beau’s voice as ‘effortlessly big.’ A true force of nature, Beau’s singing tears down walls and dissolves barriers as they effortlessly channel all they’ve got into each syllable and phrase of every vocal performance.

November 2: Tissa Rahim

Tissa Rahim, the Persian Powerhouse, is a West Coast musician with a 40-city North American tour under her belt. Winner of "Best RnB/Soul Recording of the Year" at the YYC music awards 2023, Tissa infuses her RnB/Soul sound with traditional Persian music, singing in both English and Farsi.

February 8: The Confusionaires Take on Buddy Holly

Confusionaires have built a sound that’s synonymous with the best country and rockabilly acts around, with a strong penchant for original songwriting. Featuring Buddy Holly songs and stories, and a second set of covers from other 1950's artists mixed in with their own original songs - makes for a full night of 50's style rock & roll!

March 17: Becoming the Beatles, Unplugged

Haley-Marie is a touring musician, a producer and holds a Master's of Music from Yale University. She is a three-time Carnegie Hall performer, a music historian and brings this live musical documentary to the stage with an intimate and captivating acoustic duo.

April 4: Under the Rocks

Under the Rocks is one of Canada’s premier emerging bluegrass acts. This heartfelt, talented string quartet blends uplifting energy with a reflective reverence for the difficulties of reality that marries joy and sorrow and declares “YES”. Yes to all that it means to be alive on this planet, here and now.
