Description
Canada is under siege from the simultaneous threats of climate change ravaging the land, and foreign interference undermining the foundations of our democracy. These intertwining perils are not a coincidence, but the result of capitalist government policies that prioritize resource extraction over protection of land and people. L.E. Fox dissects climate change from a radical, working-class perspective in This Book Is a Knife. In Mother Earth Is Our Elder, Dene activist and writer Katłı̨̀ą offers insight from elders and knowledge keepers who have long protected Mother Earth. Patrick Lennox’s urgent On Treason reveals the calculated influence of the global far right on the Albertan separatist referendum, touching upon northern resource extraction that is a driving force of this dangerous movement. From different vantage points, they’ll investigate and fight for the survival of the north.
