Techtoberfest 2023

Techtoberfest is when the Communitech Hub^® comes alive with food, drinks, networking and Gemütlichkeit! This year’s Techtoberfest will be a celebration of the tech community and the newest members of Team True North. The event happens during Kitchener-Waterloo Oktoberfest, a two week celebration of German culture, music and food.

Come interact and engage with our event partners as they will be offering onsite activations ranging from onsite demonstrations, games and exciting conversations! Come interact with EY, Cowan, Gowling WLG, Trusscore, BDC, Constant Contact, Megalab Inc and Six S Partners, Communitech Outposts, and the Hub Tenants!

• 12 p.m. | Doors open at the Communitech Hub to kick off Techtoberfest

• 12 p.m. - 4 p.m. | Interact with company partners and tenants to hear about their services and engage in memorable networking right in the Communitech Hub while indulging in the finest German cuisine.

• 2 p.m. - 6 p.m. | Join us for Investorhaus in the second floor cafeteria to hear about all things Venture Capital.

Join the conversations at Investorhaus, where investors, venture studios and angel groups explore investment strategies in Waterloo Region and across Canada.

• 2:30 p.m. | Welcome by CEO, Communitech

• 2:45 p.m. | Panel comprising venture studios, incubators & accelerators

• 3:20 p.m. | Panel comprising of venture capital across pre-seed, seed & late seed

• 4:00 p.m. | Panel comprising Corporate Venture Capital professionals

• 4:40 p.m. | Panel comprising Venture Debt

• 5:20 p.m. | Panel comprising limited partners

Limited parking is available at Parking Lots C & D located at 195 Joseph St, Kitchener, ON N2G 1J6 on a first-come, first-served basis. If the lots are full, please refer to this map of City of Kitchener on-street and parking lot options.

Use the GRT trip planner to find your best route on the ION light rail or bus services, which conveniently make regular, nearby stops. The LRT Central station is located only a two-minute walk away from Communitech.
