Built by the CPR in 1910 in Shepard, Alberta, the station was one of many built in western Canada that saw new immigrants pass through its doors, signifying an end to a long journey and the start of a new life.

Shepard Station was donated to Heritage Park by the CPR in 1970, and has remained a fixture of the Historical Village ever since. Over the years, strange experiences within the station have led some to say that the spirits of those who frequented Shepard Station remain within its walls to this very day.

Where do I park, and is it included?

Please park in our main parking lot. Parking is $3 in the evening. Parking kiosks are located in the middle of the parking lot and in Heritage Town Square. If you’re an Escape Annual Membership holder, parking at Heritage Park is free!

Are tickets final sale?

All tickets to ghost tours are final sale.

Can I combine the 10% Selkirk discount with any other discounts or coupons?

The 10% discount to the Selkirk offered with ghost tours cannot be combined with any other offers.

What should I wear on the tour?

Please wear comfortable walking shoes and dress for the weather, as the tours are 90 minutes long and cover a wide variety of terrain within the Historical Village, including gravel roads and boardwalks.

Do Escape Annual Membership holders get a discount on Ghost Tours?

Escape Annual Membership holders do not receive a discount on Ghost Tours.

How does purchasing a ticket support Heritage Park?

As a registered charity, all proceeds from ghost tours will allow Heritage Park to continue engaging audiences with immersive experiences and shared stories of Western Canada's diverse culture and heritage.
