Celebrating Edmonton Mountain Biking, Community and Culture

An annual mountain bike festival is coming to Edmonton from September 9-11, 2022 highlighting the groups riders, local businesses, trail networks and community behind mountain biking in the area.

 

The goal of the festival is to increase engagement in mountain biking and mountain biking lifestyle through fun and inclusive activities and entertainment that highlight the local businesses and riding area that make Edmonton a great mountain bike destination.

 

*EMBFest uses ticket credits to waive fees for activity sign-up. You will need to create a Showpass account when purchasing your ticket*

 

Festival Wristbands must be picked up each day from one of the following locations:

• The box office and information tent West of the Craft Beer Hub
• Any offsite ride location from the location volunteer leader

*Wristbands must be picked up prior to participation in any group ride, session, event or activity*

 

The Festival Features the Following Activities:

 

Organized community-led group rides and sessions

All weekend long features group rides and sessions from some of Edmonton's best riding groups. Get your tickets to get access to sign up and drop in to some great group rides for all ages and abilities. Rides and sessions take part in a variety of great riding locations in the River Valley.

*All organized activity participants must sign a waiver prior to participating in any activity organized by EMBFest. In the event the Waiver is not completed, the Ticket or Pass shall not be issued and a refund will be provided*

Light The Trail: Presented by 

Ride a fun filled interactive trail with lights and sound. Sponsored by Revolution Cycle, the Vignettes YEG designed trail will be open for riders for the entire duration of the festival. Please adhere to posted signage.

Craft Beer Hub: Presented by

Your weekend ticket gets you access to the Craft Beer Hub featuring local craft beer from around Edmonton and live music showcases.

Mountain Bike Events and Activities

The weekend features a number of exciting and entertaining events to take part in or be a spectator for including a bike rodeo. A Bike Rodeo creates excitement around bikes and teaches foundation skills in fun and entertaining way. Test your skills and talents all weekend in fun and ridiculous ways for the fun of it. Tickets get you access to registration to these other great events

Friday: Bike Parade, Bike Rodeo Event 1 (Bike Limbo), Bike Rodeo Event 2 (Wheelie Contest) AND Big Wheel Head-to-Head Race

Saturday: Bike Rodeo Event 3 (Foot Down Comp), Bike Rodeo Event 4 (Huck to Flat), Bike Rodeo Event 5 (Old Bike Toss), Mile & A Yard Relay, Bike Outfit Fashion Show AND Awards

 

Kids Activity Area

EMBFest is a family friendly event that will host an in-event kids activity area. Access for free with your ticket to come ride, play and relax.

EMBA Fundraisers

Keep supporting the Edmonton trail network through fundraisers all weekend for the Edmonton Mountain Bike Alliance. Purchase your trail bingo card, donate at their exhibitor booth and join a trail clean-up session.
