Winner of two JUNO awards, creator of 16 albums, 22 singles, four gold records, CARAS "Songwriter of the Year" and since 2012 Member of the Order of Canada, Valdy is one our country's truly great storytellers. He is also an accomplished producer and a composer of film and television soundtracks and host of B.C. Music Project, a music video program featuring British Columbia artists from five cities and towns that went on to win a Gold Ribbon Talent Development Award.

In addition to his storied and prolific career, Valdy has a been a Front Page Challenge panelist and at one point had a lead role on The Beachcombers. It does not get much more Canadian than that! He has been touring Canada for over 45 years but also tours regularly in New Zealand in addition to past tours across Europe. He is of course a stalwart of music festivals across North America but we at Hugh's Room Live know he is just as wonderful a performer indoors too...Wednesday April 30.
