The Sometimes Island w/ Wild Ire

The Sometimes Island returns to Salem to once again show us a great time. Joining them are perennial local favorites and party band extraodinaire, Wild Ire!

The Sometimes Island is a tropical indie pop band based in Los Angeles and Albuquerque. Catchy and energetic with great light show, they are led by charismatic frontman Matt Blankenship Jr and anchored by drummer Nick Lopiano.

They recently released a music video for their single Acapulco, which has over a half million views on YouTube. Their latest EP, “Beverly & Barbara”, has garnered 8m+ streams and peaked at #2 internationally on Apple’s Alternative chart, beating out Billie Eilish.

LA Weekly noted “their single Phantom Limb cracked the Top 40 Radio charts… and by the looks of it - they aren’t anywhere near finished with the climb.” Buzznet called the Bad People EP “the future of synthpop”.

Doors at 6:30, show at 7pm. $10 adv/$12 at the door. All ages show.
