Minority Retort Presents: Marcella Arguello!

On Saturday, September 24th at 7:30pm, Minority Retort, the NW’s premier stand-up comedy showcase featuring Black and brown comedians, and Infinity Room are proud to present, comedian Marcella Arguello!

About the headliner:

Marcella Arguello is a stand up comedian, writer and actor whose comedy knows no bounds; she eagerly discusses any and every topic that tickles her. From dating short guys - because she has no other options at 6’2’’ - to being mistaken for a man, her Latinx identity, her take on race and gender and the wild stories and situations she’s gotten herself in and out of. This winter, Marcella has her debut half hour special dropping on HBO/Max. Her recent album, The Woke Bully, debuted at #3 on the Billboard Comedy Charts and was named One Of The Best Comedy Albums of 2019 by NPR’s Bullseye.

Marcella has also made numerous TV appearances on shows including Fuse TV’s new show We Need To Talk About America, Tubi’s The Cache, Sarah Cooper’s Netflix special Everything’s Fine, Comedy Central’s Lights Out w/ David Spade and @midnight w/ Chris Hardwick, TruTv’s Comedy Knock Out, 2 Dope Queens on HBO, as well as Night Train with Wyatt Cenac on STARZ.
In addition to her work as a writer on the Netflix series “Bill Nye Saves The World” and Drop The Mic on TBS, Marcella’s controversial takes on Twitter (@marcellacomedy) have been featured on CNN, Fox, TIME.com, HuffingtonPost.com and various entertainment websites. Marcella is also a regular opener for Hasan Minhaj, Felipe Esparza and Nico Santos and has previously opened for Hannibal Buress, David Alan Grier, Norm MacDonald, J.B. Smoove, Ron Funches, Godfrey, Al Madrigal, Joey Coco Diaz and Melissa Villaseñor.
