International Women's Day Celebration

Last year was a huge hit and this year YWIB UBC is teaming up with Vancity to bring you an International Women's Day that is bigger and better than the last! 

Highlights: 

Keynote:  Taylor Aller,  Co-Founder of the Relationship Project, Mrs. BC 2018 & Miss Congeniality 2018

Taylor is a six-figure entrepreneur and serves the Lower Mainland as an RMT, Educator, Speaker, Mentor and Co-Founder of The Relationship Project with her kick-butt husband. 

Taylor was also crowned as Mrs BC 2018 and Miss Congeniality 2018. The best part? She did it all with no glitz and glam, no fancy hair and minimal to no makeup. As she is an avid volunteer with Free To Be Talks and all about body positivity, Taylor took that platform to heart while competing for this title. She wanted to walk the talk and showcase that we are more than what we look like by breaking stereotypes with this win.

Keynote: Christine Bergeron, Vancity Senior Vice President of Member Experience & Community Engagement

Christine’s achievements in fostering community impact, social justice and environmental sustainability earned her accolades from Business in Vancouver magazine, which included her in its 2007 “Top 40 Under 40” list. In 2012, the Association of Women in Finance gave her the Rising Star award, and last year the 2017 Clean50 awards recognized her for her dedication to sustainability. She was also nominated for the YWCA’s women of distinction awards.

The whole first floor of the Vancouver Art Gallery will be open to attendees, featuring the "French Moderns: Menet to Matisse, 1850-1950"
