2026 Annual Pionairs Conference & AGM

 

Our 49th Annual Pionairs Conference (APC) and Annual General Meeting (AGM) is taking place on April 30, 2026 at the River Rock Casino and Resort in Richmond, B.C. There will be presentations made by the Pionairs President, the Pensions Committee and various Air Canada guest speakers. All Pionairs members and spouses are invited to attend.  belairdirect Insurance and Manulife Insurance representatives will be on hand outside the ballroom to provide information and answer your questions.

In addition to the meeting, there will be a free optional "Meet & Greet" reception at the resort the evening before (April 29th) from 5:00 - 6:30 pm for those members wishing to attend. It will take place in the Fraser Room at the Conference Centre.  You will have a chance to meet the National Executive as well as the Directors from other cities.  The registration form will give you a spot to indicate if you will be attending this as well.  The Conference Centre is located through the rear exit of the main lobby, in a separate building overlooking the river.

Hotel reservations:

• The River Rock Hotel is offering a Special Room Rate of $205.00 including resort fee (plus taxes). This rate includes free parking. You have three options for registering for the meeting:

• Attend in person with lunch included for $25.00 pp including taxes and gratuity
• Attend in person with no lunch free of charge
• Attend the Conference portion online via Zoom Live Streaming at 9:00 a.m. Pacific Daylight Time

Parking / Public Transportation / Airport Transportation :

• Free parking in the West Parkade (far end), level P2 and above.  Available when attending both the Meet & Greet and the Meeting
  
  
• For local members, consider taking Translink public transportation.  The Canada Line Skytrain goes to Bridgeport Station with a Skywalk directly into the resort.  Click here for Translink Schedules and Maps
  
  
• For members arriving at YVR, follow the signs for the Canada Line Skytrain departing directly from the airport.  Disembark at the 3rd stop, which is Bridgeport Station with a Skywalk directly into the resort.

The schedule for the meetings which will be held in the Whistler Ballrooms on the mezzanine level of the resort is as follows (all times are Pacific Daylight Time):

• 0800 - 0900: Registration
• 0900 - 1145: Pionairs & Air Canada information sessions (APC); question period
• 0900 - 1145: Live streaming of APC (AGM will NOT be live streamed)
• 1145 - 1215: Annual General Meeting (members only)
• 1215 - 1400: Luncheon
